Details are scant, but a Vermilion flycatcher was apparently both seen and photographed at Secor Metropark (across the road and just north of the nature center) last Tuesday October 30. I have seen the photo and there is no mistaking the identity (a brilliant adult male), but I do not even know the name of the observer. There have been no reports of this bird since despite efforts by at least a few. I'll share more details if I can dig them up. This would constitute a second Toledo area record. (A young male was discovered at ONWR on November 4, 2001, and it lingered through at least December 12.)

It may still be worth searching for this one.
