We walked through Wintergarden Park Monday afternoon.  Several Yellow-rumps, a Palm, and an Ovenbird.

Were the Purple Finces at Wintergarden flocking with  American Goldfinches? This morning I had a flock of finches by the Hillcrest entrance to the park. It appeared to me that there were 8 Purple Finches and 2 American Goldfinches. There were definitely 2 female and 2 male Purple Finches in the group. I did not hear and singing/calling that sounded like House Finches.

No, the birds I saw were high in a tree by themselves.  They were in that part of the park though.
