A single LONG-TAILED DUCK spent some time this morning, Feb 3, on the Maumee River just upstream from Otsego Rapids. Lots of geese around (over 1600), but nary a Cackling goose was found.

This morning, March 25, another LONG-TAILED DUCK, a stunning winter male, was on the river just upstream from Otsego Rapids. My memory has faded over the years, but I don't recall seeing a full adult male around here before.
