-----------------
Oak Openings Raptor Survey: 2006 to Present (monthly program meeting)

Join local raptor expert Steve Lauer as he describes the data collected from Oak Openings raptor nesting surveys going back to 2006. The Oak Openings project is one of the few in the country to look at all species of raptors over a large area for a sustained period of time. Having a long-term set of nesting data helps to shed light on these secretive birds.

Date & time: Thursday, January 17, 2019, 7:00 pm
Location: Ward Pavilion at Wildwood Metropark, 4830 Central Avenue, Toledo, OH

-----------------
Winter Gulls & Ducks - field trip

Depending on ice conditions on the lake and river, we could see close to 15 duck species and hope for views of some good winter gulls such as Glaucous, Iceland, and Lesser Black-Backed. Potential areas to visit include Bayshore Power, north Toledo, the Maumee River, and Erie Power. Dress warmly, pack your favorite hot beverage, and meet leader Tom Kemp at 8:30 a.m. at the public access on Bayshore Road in Oregon, just east of the power plant.

Date & time: Sunday, January 27, 2019, 8:30am to noon (approx.)
Location: 4900 Bayshore Road, Oregon, OH
