Olive-side flycatcher - Tornado Alley (OOPM), yesterday
Red-breasted nuthatch - presumed family group of 3 near Oak Openings Lodge
Brown creeper - two at OO Lodge

Got out for a few hours today and lucked out with two young male blue grosbeaks. They were on the east side of Jeffers across from the horse barn. Both were making this tinny sound the guides describe as a “tink”. I was parked in Elliot’s favorite spot....that is the only place in the park that has a no parking sign.

I had an immature Golden eagle yesterday (10/13) afternoon over our home in Whitehouse and a Sedge wren in the large field west of Toledo Express Airport this morning. Purple finches are quite numerous in and near Oak Openings Preserve Metropark now.
