Jeff and I spotted a Cattle Egret about 9:00 this morning (6\5) along the north side of the entrance road to Howard Marsh about 1/4 mile in.  It moved around throughout the morning, but was still on the same side of the road, across from where the gulls and terns are, when we left at 12:30.

1-2 Black-necked Stilts were flying back and forth across the road and often foraging near the gulls and terns.

Thanks, Dale.

Yes, nice find for Lucas County.  For those who don't already know, Cattle Egret can be found in the Castalia - Sandusky area every year.  There's been a small population summering there for about 15 years now.
