Had a number of good birds this weekend...
* Sandhill crane - over our home in Whitehouse yesterday
* Chuck-will's-widow - the bird discovered on May 15 continued yesterday
* Alder flycatcher - one at Old State Line and Whitehouse-Spencer, another e of Schwamberger 1/4 mile n of Old State Line, today
* Red-breasted nuthatch - Manore 1/4 mi s of Reed, yesterday
* Brown creeper - two singing near the OO Lodge, yesterday
* Summer tanager - 8 in different spots in OOPM, yesterday, and one at Secor today
* Yellow-throated warbler - in a group of sycamores ne of intersection of Schwamberger and Dorr, today
* Kentucky warbler - s of Old State Line about 1/8 mi e of Whitehouse-Spencer, today (probably the same bird that had been across road 150 yards of so west of this spot)
Several attempts to find the Red crossbills yesterday and this morning were unsuccessful.

Some notes from the past few days...
* Hooded merganser - female on the pond at the pond in the large field along Neapolis-Waterville Rd (6/8)
* Bald eagle - in farm field just N of Henry Co Rd V at 1D (6/9)
* Chuck-will's widow - calling the evening of 6/7; silent and/or missing this morning
* Alder flycatcher - Tornado Alley, OOPM (6/10)
* Least flycatcher - N side Fulton Co Rd C just east of Rd 3 (6/9 - Watch out for aggressive dogs across road!)
* Northern parula - across Tupelo Dr from Meadowview parking area, Secor Metropark (6/10)
* Summer tanager - 4 more singing males in Tornado Alley (6/10)
* Blue grosbeak - singing male in Tornado Alley about 3/4 mi west of paved trail (near ravine that cuts across where tornado came through, 6/10)
* Henslow's sparrow - field NW of Reed and Girdham Rds (6/10)
* Dickcissel - 2 in large wheat fields near Angola and Lathrop; most accessible along Angola just west of Lathrop (6/10)
* Bobolink - 2, same area as Dickcissels
As far as I know, no Red crossbills have been reported since May 31. Pine siskins last visited our feeders on May 29.
