The Chuck-will's-widow was calling again this morning, and I had an adult male Blue grosbeak singing persistently at the entrance to the Horse Riders Center on Jeffers Road. A Henslow's sparrow was also calling west of Girdham Road a couple hundred yards north of Reed Road.

The Chuck-will's-widow continues at OOPM as of last night. Interestingly, it only offered is croaking call while I was there from 9:30 to 10:15. A couple of whip-poor-wills, on the other were singing pretty persistently.

I also had a pair of Blue grosbeaks at Girdham and Reed yesterday morning.

There was a singing male Blue grosbeak at Lou Campbell Tallgrass Prairie at OOPM this morning. I had not seen one in this area during several previous trips there during June and July.
Purple martins are congregating daily in Tornado Alley, perching in many of the taller trees. There have been at least 50 there in recent days.

It would seem as though Smithjames from India is using this site to sell things.
