Was at Carter Rd and Nelson Rd right at Sunset yesterday Fri, and on way to east end of Nelson Rd (at Silverwood Rd), found about six Short-eared Owls.  The owls were not at the 'wet prairie' area at Anderson Rd, but were mostly hunting along the roadside/drainage ditches, especially the ones with a thin extra strip of grass/hay along them.

This is NE of Bowling Green, near the same area as the Snowy Owl, which was seen again yesterday off Newton (two-track) west of Carter.  Also, two Redpolls were found wandering in the BGSU cemetary yesterday.

Sidenote- I add to what likely is my farewell Rarebird posting here, by saying it has been a good 23 years of birding with all you NW Ohio birders, and I'll be taking fond memories with me into retirement and a relocation to California in a couple weeks,

GOOD BIRDING ALWAYS, folks   :-)
