Early this afternoon, an immature Golden eagle passed high overhead at our home in Whitehouse. There was a fair movement of raptors from late morning through early afternoon. In addition to the eagle, I had a couple of Northern harriers, 15 Red-shouldered hawks, a similar number of Red-tailed hawks, a half dozen Cooper's hawks, ten Sharp-shinned hawks, about 40 Turkey vultures, and several hundred crows. I also had a smattering of fly-over Pine siskins and Purple finches.

This morning in Maumee, I had a couple of very large groups of Common grackles - maybe 10-12,000 birds in all.

An adult Golden eagle passed over our home mid-afternoon yesterday.
