Here are a few shots of the Conneaut Gull.  I am not totally convinced that it is a great black-backed gull.  The wings seemed to be to be a bit long and narrow for GBBG.  P-10 shows a dark tip and not an all white tip.  The wingtip that matches it best in Gulls of North America, Olsen and Larsson.  The eye is dark with a yellowish orbital ring.  GBBG should have a pale eye with a orange or red orbital ring.  There is tremendous variation with the larger gulls.  It may be a hybrid or an odd great black-backed gull.
