Hi all,

I've just completed a 4 month backpacking trip around Southern Africa birding Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, Malawi and Mozambique. It was done entirely by hitch-hiking and public transportation and no tour guides. If you're interested in reading about the trip and seeing photos, I'm about halfway through blogging on it here (http://nomadicbirder.blogspot.com/).

Ethan,  I've had a chance to read most of the blog.   Dude, you are amazing!  I would love to partake in an adventure like this.  I presume most of your camping was done inside the fenced areas of these preserves?  I'd hate to see you become lion bait!

Safe travels to you and good birding!
