An adult female piping plover was at Conneaut Harbor this afternoon.  The bird was found by Robert Krajeski.  We were able to watch the bird at close range for quite a while.  The bird had color bands on its legs.  I will post a photo later today.

The bird was still present when I left at 11:45, however thunderstorms were moving into the area.  Also present was an American avocet.  Other shorebirds seen this morning were semipalmated plover, killdeer, lesser yellowlegs, semipalmated sandpiper, least sandpiper, and sanderling.  I have sent in the color band combinatioon and will post an update on where it is from.
