Here is a photo for anyone who has not seen one of these communities. It is along the banks of the Mosquito Creek where I work. I thought there to be 25 to 30 nests but it looks closer to 50. We call these trees pom pom trees looking like something out of a Dr. Suess book.  Does anyone know how large rookeries can get to be? It is like a busy airport. Flights in and out all day long.
