But the 144 million sparrows gave those of us who were house-bound today something to chuckle about!  We had a record smashing ZERO birds at our feeders today or yesterday. Not only that there were no squirrels, and no raccoon tracks from last night. Kidding aside, and aside from a few very minor issues to be fixed, this new application is totally awesome, Chuck.  Incredibly useful and interesting. Once the word gets out, everyone will be clamoring to use it on their own counts.  Kudos to you for having the idea in the first place and having the skills to pull it off.

Wow ... !!   I couldn't wait after hearing the 107 total so I already updated the phone RBA hotline ... kudos to Matt (of course) and Chuck for this new Internet-based tool.  I'm anxious to hear the details.

yes, the White throated Sparrow number was a co birder putting a password in when he was logged into the system. Same problem with Great blue Heron.

I've had fun trying to guess who found what whenever a new species was added.  I'm sure hoping Tom found more ducks at LCP.  And a Hermit Thrush.  And someone stayed out late and found a short-eared owl.  I'm very eager to hear the final results.

Well, the current tally of 144 million White-throated Sparrows should be good for a new national high count.  Unless this number represents some kind of glitch in the system.
