We've had a collared dove (called Colin) with a broken wing in the garden this week. We think he may have been attacked by a cat. He can't fly, but otherwise he isn't showing any sign of distress or pain. It is feeding and drinking water fine.
I am quite happy to have a 'flightless' dove in the garden for the rest of his days, whereas if I can find catch him and take him to a vet I think it would cause him unnecessary stress and result in him being put down anyway.
